A 1984 Ten Outstanding Youth Leader of the Phillipines
Awardee during the 2nd Ministers /Members of the Parliament-Youth Leader's
Forum, SOC ANTHONY MA. DEL ROSARIO was acknowledge as the Outstanding Oro
Jaycees- JJC Parliamentarian-Delegate to "Visit Jaycee Land, Don't Live There"
in the early eighties.
"SOC " as his friends fondly call him was born in Salay, Misamis Oriental. His
maternal ascendants(s) came from the Island of Camiguin in Mindanao: the
paternal side from the Southern Tagalog and the Northern Luzon Regions. As a
young boy, he worked as a bootblack and ice-candy vendor. A COCOFED scholar in
his high school years who excelled in academic achievement as valedictorian, he
became a recipient of several scholarship grants. He finished his Bachelor's of
Degree in Industrial Education Major in Architecture (DMMMPSC) CUM LAUDE under
the KB National Scholarship Program.
A UP graduate of the Consultancy Course for Cooperatives, UP-ISSI, Diliman,
Quezon City, he represented the Republic of the Philippines to various
international for a . Among these are: MICROSERV-CEO-POLICY FORUM (APRACA) in
Bangkok, Thailand; Foreign Agri-Business Models/ National Agricultural
Cooperative Federation(NACF) in Seoul, South Korea; International Labor
Organization Asian Regional Conference on Employment Creation through
Cooperatives and SMEs in Bangkok, Thailand; Marketing of Small and Medium
Enterprises in China; Asian Productivity Organization (APO)- National
Productivity Council (NPC) International Forum for SMEs, Accelarating Growth and
Enhancing Competitveness in the Knowledge Economy in New Delhi, India.

The author is a Rotary Club member of Cagayan De Oro, District No. 3870. A
lecturer of the Camiguin Island Lodge No. 296, F & A.M., the Don Antonio T.
Cosin Memorial Lodge No. 308 awardee him for his active and unselfish dedication
to the Craft.
